The Cheesehead is in Green Bay!

Yes, I know that I should have started this blog six weeks ago when Jared entered the Mexico City Missionary Training Center.  However, Jared hated typing on the Spanish keyboard, so there really isn't much to say!  He has promised to send longer, more detailed emails now that he's back in the States.

Here is his current address:
730 Abrams St. #14 Green Bay, WI 54302

Packages need to be sent through priority or first class mail to be forwarded from the mission office, and those should be sent to:
Wisconsin Milwaukee Mission
7111 W Edgerton Ave. Ste. 100
Greenfield, Wisconsin 53222

Sending packages there will ensure they get forwarded if he has been transferred.

There is also a mission blog:  http://wisconsinmilwaukeemission.blogspot.com/

Below are some updates from the MTC:

Wow this has been an awesome week! I got to be part of the MTC dedication and was in the 15th rown when Elder Oaks was speaking and said the dedicatory prayer, it was an amaazing experience!  My spanish is gettting a little better, and I have found myself being able to teach in spanish off the top of my head and understand it better.  Thank you all for the emails, I look forward to them all week! It really helps!  I want to leave the MTC already and just get into the field but i still have 3 and a half weeks to go.  I miss you all and can't wait to see you all again.  I have constantly been making mistakes in Spanish while teaching.  For example. I told someone pescado instead of pecado.  Pecado means sin and pescado means fish.  I really hate Spanish synonyms!  Yesterday was great when a girl from my ward arrived here but it made me a little homesick as well.  I just tell myself that everyone back in Utah has to deal with the snow for now and I dont haha.  It was great hearing from all of you and I cant wait to hear back in a week.  I love you all and thanks for all the support!!!

Wow I cant believe I have almost been out a month already.  This past week has been awesome, and has had some hilarious moments.  A word of advice: don't accidently read 3 nephi 3.7 instead of 1 nephi 3.7.  (Note from Mom:  look it up.  It's pretty funny!)  Spanish is coming along great and am actually starting to congegate the words when I speak.  They say Rosetta Stone is the fastest way to learn a language but it's not, the Spirit is!  Today we got to finally leave the campus and go to the temple and visitors center across Mexico City.  It was so great there  and by far the best visitors center I've been to so far.    Thank you all for the emails, they all uplift me.  Here is my testimony of the church, but there is one catch, its in spanish!
(yes that was from memory)
